ENTRY 1

My first impressions and expectations of the university classes

My first impressions of ICT course were really positive – I’m lucky that I generally love this course.  Early in my career, I tried several first-day-of-class strategies, ranging from briefly introducing the course. It was unforgottable and un repentant day. But also it was very nervious and awful day. Because we are new and it was new atmosfare for us. Moreover, we don't know each others. However I know that everybody was very happy to enter university and everyone has their own future plans. After some minutes we try to be friend with each other. Day by day we know each other. We have subjects which we don't know. And our field is English and our most lessons was related to languages.
That time I couldn't understand English and other subjects. But never worried about my poor experience  and skill But I believed my power and mind. My first lesson  was a motivational lesson which I never want to forget. Personally I believe that our university classis are interestingbut one day they will be  powerful and essential to learn and student some change will be made.

ENTRY 2

My computer skills: strengths and weaknesses.

In our life we should pay attention to everything. Everything is important. For instance, computer skills. When I discuss computer skills, I am not just speaking of sing certain computer programs but knowing how to use a computer. In general, there are many people whom I know of that do not know how to even turn “on” a computer. Computer skills such as operating a word processing software or typing are convenient and efficient. For example, I am writing this essay by using a computer. If I do not have computer skill, I can not make a composition as quickly as possible.; maybe I can only write on paper. In my opinion, having computer skills is one of the most important thing in today’s world.

Additionally really complex models may be restricted to only being able to run on super computing clusters, which may have limited availability.I cannot manage a small team of people. I am terrible at managing the others, and I hope I’d never have to do it in my job. On the other hand, I am really skilled with computers. I can learn to work with any program quickly, and I can find solution to every issue. Many people are afraid of this question. We are afraid to look into the mirror, we are afraid to admit our weaknesses. However, this question is not as difficult as it seems. Clever job applicants will simply pick a strength that is relevant for the job. Responsibility, analytical thinking, problem solving ability, attention to detail, strong computer skills, etc are a great choice for your desktop support interview. Then you should choose a weakness that is not central for the job. Being impatient, jovial, struggling with management skills, etc. Great desktop support technician does not have to excel in management or leadership. Doesn`t  happen  important for their job.

ENTRY 3

Listening podcasts and applications.

First of all, I am going to say what the podcast is. A podcast is a radio show on the Internet. It’s that simple. Okay, there are a few differences. Podcast aren’t generally broadcast live—they’re recorded, meaning you can listen whenever you want. Most podcasts release new episodes once a week, but some offer episodes daily—it varies wildly. Many podcasts are episodes of shows you could also hear on the radio, with all the production values you’d expect. Others are just a group of friends sitting around a microphone, or using Skype, talking about a subject they’re passionate about. A lot of popular podcasts are somewhere in the middle: conversational at times, structured at others. It’s an entire world, really. For me, it’s the perfect companion for cleaning the house or cooking a meal, and many use podcasts to make long commutes more interesting. Basically, all we need is a piece of software we can use to subscribe to shows. Most people listen to podcast on mobile devices, because part of the point is listening on the go. We don’t actually need to install anything. Every iPhone comes with a Podcast app by default, and opening that is a great way to get started with podcasts. Android users can listen to podcasts using Google Play Music. Some people prefer third party applications for listening to podcasts—I like Player FM on Android, for example. Overcast is a great, free podcast app for iOS. And there are lots of other choices, some free, some paid. But We don’t be overwhelmed by all the choices. If we get into listening to podcasts, We’ll start to notice the features we wish those apps had, and them we’ll have a better idea of what we want in a third-party app. Most people get into podcasts because a specific person whose work they enjoy announced that they’re starting one. If that’s us, simply search our podcast app of choice for that show. Generally, these shows recommend other shows, which will help point us toward things we might enjoy. Subscribe to things we like, and don’t feel guilty about unsubscribing things later. There are only so many hours in a week, after all, and with so many shows to choose from there’s no reason to spend time listening to something you don’t enjoy. My current favorite podcast is Reply All, which is a delightful weekly look at all sorts of weird corners of the Internet. A recent episode featured a host trying to get to know a tech support scammer over the phone, and then actually traveling to India to meet that scammer in person.

ENTRY 4

Am I slow or a fast reader?

I think all of us try to be fast reader but it is incredibly. As for me I am fast reader but it means I couldn't catch or understand all of the text I have read .That's why I think some people want to be fast reader but they couldn't comprehend. In my point of view it doesn't matter whether you are fast reader or not,but it's essential how to understand them .I love books, love to read, but the thing is, I'm quite a slow reader. I know there's no race to see who is going to read a book the quickest, but I always have so many books I want to read, I guess I get a little impatient. I know some people who seem to be able to speed read, and often wonder how do they do it? I also find that I don't like to read something if someone has handed me a page of writing, because then it seems I'm taking even longer.

ENTRY 5

Critical analysis of online language learning resources.

Online assessments  are an increasingly integral part of UK higher education. Since computers bacame widespread in student cohorts, the merits of migrating from paper-based to online assessments have been increasingly discussed. Online assessment is much more than just an alternative way of doing what we already do. Online assessments to get students used to a new format, especially if the main assessment is summative. Whatever the format, make sure requirements are clearly signposted and common "tripping points" are acknowledged and clarified as soon as possible.

ENTRY 6

My test taking strategies.

Appraising My Test Taking Skills Essay, Research Appraising My Test Taking Skills The advantages of my test taking skills are effectiveness, organization, and good review tools. Thus, the disadvantages are manageable review time and strategy planning. I find myself mostly “stuck’ on planning a strategy. Before I began to prepare for a test, I would first make sure that my notes are organized as well as accurate. Then, I transfer my most difficult questions onto 35 flash cards.

Last but least, I collect all of the notes and study it the night before the test. I know that the key to successful test preparation is managing review time. However, when it comes to daily or weekly reviews, I find my research not sinking into my brain. So, I use another alternative, whic is planning a strategy. This technique works for me solo, but I cannot find it being helpful during testing. I guess I predict the wrong level of questions on my practice test.

ENTRY 7

The best project I made / presentations I made.

At first I was afraid of making a conversation with tourists but with a help of my groupmates I could accomplish it. We talked to lots of tourists and it really could help us to improve our speaking skill. I am so thankful from my teacher for giving that project work for us. I learned not only to speak freely but also to be ready in every situation to make a conversation with any person who is the English. Moreover this project work really tought us working in a group together. All in all, that process is worthy to remember forever due to be the first time for us!!!During our study at university we have made several project work, presentations depends on different subjects. They were really helpful to increase our awareness on various fields. The most unforgettable one among them was "animaker" work which was done in ICT lesson. In this task we were demanded to create cartoon that teaching foreign languages to young learners. Also it had to be short form of cartoon. Moreover, the best project that done myself  was creating Viki. It was interesting as well as much more informative. Because while I was creating my own Viki I was awared of lots of information that was not know  before.

ENTRY 8

How useful effective are online self-assessment tests.

In social psychology, self-assessment is the process of looking at oneself in order to assess aspects that are important to one's identity. It is one of the motives that drive self-evaluation, along with self-verification and self-enhancement. Sedikides  suggests that the self-assessment motive will prompt people to seek information to confirm their uncertain self-concept rather than their certain self-concept and at the same time people use self-assessment to enhance their certainty of their own self-knowledge. However, the self-assessment motive could be seen as quite different from the other two self-evaluation motives. Unlike the other two motives through self-assessment people are interested in the accuracy of their current self view, rather than improving their self-view. This makes self-assessment the only self-evaluative motive that may cause a person's self-esteem to be damaged. While many people doubt the usefulness of online assessment tests, these questionnaires are tools that can help you gain information about yourself that can provide a sense of direction you may feel you lack. This is the benefit of structured assessment methods. When asked to describe yourself you may come up with a few general characteristics. Not every online assessment tool provides useful implications that you can put into practice in your life. Self- help assessments can provide a great deal of information that can give you the knowledge to help you live a life in which you flourish and succeed.
So self assessment is a somehow motive that motivating yourself. Self assessment test helps you to find out your weakness and strength in any kind of topic. It should our aim to make our weakness disappear.

ENTRY 9

Pros and cons of different social media applications.

One of the toughest choices you have to make in social media marketing is which networks to go with. Get this decision wrong and you are stuck preaching to the wrong crowd or producing the wrong kind of content to engage them. Each network has its own strengths and weaknesses making them better for certain goals than others. One of the biggest strengths of this network is reach. The sheer number of people using Facebook on daily basis is unrivalled in social media. Its not just numbers either; its the diversity of users that has so many firms marketing on the platform. Plus, the targeting options available really let you hone in on your target audience.

ENTRY 10

Wrap-up: outcomes of course.

In ICT course we improved our skills how to work with techniques, compared online dictionaries, we had online courses on Alison.com, registered on Wikipedia, learned how to work with google disk and etc. ICT lecturers activly carry out research into learning with ICT. This research directly informs the education programs. I want to think to my teacher for all her lessons and her patience. It is generally believed that ICT's can empower teachers and learners to develop of 21 st century skills. This course resulted in to develop our creativity, problem-solving abilities, informational reasoning skills, communicational skills and other higher-order thinking skills. In studies ICT greatly helped on self reporting, made us more effective learners.
